Since its return in 2015, the British Masters has cemented itself as the must-see fixture on The European Tour schedule.

With a prize fund of £3 million, this year’s British Masters will be held between 28 September and 1 October at Close House Golf Club in Newcastle upon Tyne. The tournament will be hosted by Close House Golf Club professional Lee Westwood, a previous British Masters winner at The Belfry in 2007.

The event is supported and will be streamed live by Sky Sports via their various TV and digital channels.

Zurich Golf Ambassadors

Zurich has enlisted some of the world’s best male and female golfers to act as Golf Ambassadors, including Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler, Jamie Donaldson, Lexi Thompson and 2015 US PGA Championship winner, Jason Day.

Jamie Donaldson, who will also be competing at the British Masters, has praised Zurich’s support. “I’ve worked with Zurich for a couple of years now and they’ve been awesome,” he said.

“I’ve enjoyed working with Zurich at the British Masters and I’m really looking forward to the 2017 tournament.”

Zurich’s Richard Pash, Director of UK Marketing, added: “We are incredibly proud to be in our third year of sponsoring the British Masters, and are looking forward to showing the British public how much we truly love golf.

“It’s an added bonus that our Zurich Ambassador Jamie Donaldson will be playing this year – he will have our full support and we wish him success.

Zurich and Jamie Donaldson are inviting you to take part in the #ZurichBeatThePro  – a golf keepy-uppy challenge. How many can you do in 60 seconds? Film your attempts and upload the video to Twitter with the #ZurichBeatThePro hashtag and get your friends involved too, by nominating them. Jamie will carry out his second attempt live on the Zurich stand, so keep an eye on the @ZurichInsUK Twitter account. Can you beat the pro?

Visit the Zurich stand at the British Masters, to collect your free Zurich woolly hat. Once you have the hat, you can enter our ‘Woolly Hat Selfie’ competition.
