We are delighted to announce that Zurich in the UK* has retained its Corporate Chartered Status (CCS) for the sixth year running. Andrew Jepp, Head of Zurich Municipal, is our new ‘Responsible Member’ – Zurich’s principle contact with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)
We were the first insurer to receive CCS and six years on it still stands as a strong message that the highest standards of expertise and professionalism can still be expected from us. In an increasingly competitive market these are key differentiators in the insurance industry and holding a CII qualification is tangible evidence of expertise.
Chartered status delivers value not only to customers, but also to the business and its staff. At last count we had 1,263 employees with a CII qualification, of which 88% are customer- facing employees, and 267 staff are currently studying for one. These are impressive statistics, and Zurich is proud to support and encourage anyone in their professional studies to ensure we continue to develop our people. We strive to ensure our employees acquire and retain the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver the highest quality advice and Chartered status enables us to achieve this.
With such an exclusive and valuable distinction, it also helps to attract and retain the best staff as talented people want to work for an ambitious company and corporate Chartered status is a clear indicator of our professional standing.
*Please note that our Corporate Chartered Status excludes Life, as CCS only applies in the General Insurance space.
