We’re speaking out for better mental health

At a glance

  • Maintaining a positive mental and physical wellbeing is crucial to all of us
  • Whilst physical wellbeing can often be transparent, mental wellbeing is quite the opposite
  • Through our charity arm, Zurich Community Trust (ZCT) , we are passionate about speaking out about how we need to help improve the support offered to those currently suffering in silence

Maintaining a positive mental and physical wellbeing is crucial to all of us. Our physical wellbeing is often transparent and often tells a very honest story visually. Our mental wellbeing, however, is quite the opposite. Our challenges are often invisible and very easy to hide from the world.

Through our charity arm, Zurich Community Trust (ZCT), we are passionate about speaking out about how we need to help improve the support offered to those currently suffering in silence.

With as many as 1 in 5 16-24 year olds experiencing mental illness such as anxiety and depression, we are hugely committed to increasing the level of support currently available for our future generations in order to build more resilient communities.  We’re proud to be moving ever closer to achieving this through, not just one, but three different community programmes, all run by ZCT. These include local grants programme, Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition and our national charity partnership with children’s charity, Place2Be. These all allow us to help effect change locally as well as nationally.

Together, with Zurich Community Trust, we’re determined to help put a stop to stigma and help build a better future. To find out more, read our mental health PDF.
