As part of our ongoing commitment to the SME market, Zurich has been working closely with brokers to design and now launch a new e-trading platform, Zurich Online.
Designed for brokers placing cover for small to medium businesses with a turnover of up to £5m, Zurich Online brings a number of major advantages, providing a quicker trading platform that is easier to quote and renew on, with a market streamlined question set, and nine out of ten trades accepted.
Paul Tombs, Head of SME explains: “We have a hunger and desire to help brokers win and retain SME business. This launch represents a very significant and exciting step forward for Zurich, and to the proposition that we offer to our brokers and their clients.
“SMEs are the lifeblood of the UK economy, and we understand that SME owners have a strong and immediate emotional connection to their business. They worked hard to build it, we work hard to help protect it.”
Built for ease of use
Zurich Online is designed to make doing business with Zurich easier. Paul says: “We’ve always listened to our brokers and we’ve constantly sought to modernise, evolve, and explore new ways of making Zurich easier to deal with.”
Brokers have been at the heart of the development of Zurich Online, with their feedback sought throughout the process. The result is a platform that gives brokers more flexibility, while streamlining the route to market and enabling Zurich to offer more competitively-priced policies.
Zurich Online has been built with ease of navigation in mind – with product choices, trade selection made simpler and documentation easier to find – reducing the number of referrals required, and improving the speed of response.
Simplified with a new, combined policy
Zurich’s policies have been reviewed and refreshed ahead of the platform launch, to ensure the cover is fully fit for SME requirements. The platform will enable brokers to quote and renew policies across eight products, including new and revamped policies. Products include property owners, shop, cyber, tradesmen, small fleet, personal accident and business travel and a management liability product. The launch also heralds the introduction of Zurich’s new Commercial Combined policy.
Commercial Combined brings together seven existing products into a single policy for the first time – with 20 different optional covers, including cyber and legal expenses. It will enable brokers to provide their SME customers with a single policy that is easy to understand, and be easier to transact for brokers.
Expert help available
The majority of brokers’ business can be conducted directly through the portal, but Zurich also has experts on hand at our centres of excellence in Leeds and Cardiff to help with more complex questions.
These dedicated underwriters will be able to make quick decisions, enabling brokers to respond promptly to customer queries.
Opening up to Softwarehouses
All our products available on Zurich Online will also be available on Acturis Open Market.
At Zurich we are committed to helping brokers win and retain business. Zurich Online is a major step forward, set to bring significant benefits to brokers and their SME customers.
