Airmic Fest 2020: What’s in store?

At a glance

  • With Covid-19 causing social restrictions, a rethink has been needed on how to run events
  • This years Airmic Fest will be no different, with the entire event taking place virtually through webinars, panel debates and online hubs
  • We take a look at what there is to look forward to, as well as some exciting virtual areas for delegates to network.

With social restrictions still in place and the vast majority of people still working remotely, Airmic Fest 2020 will look completely different to ever before.

The three day event will take place from 22nd-24th September and will be delivered virtually through a range of webinars, panel debates and HUB sessions covering key topics such as the pandemic, Brexit, climate change and many more. Delegates will be able to hear from key industry specialists as well as being given access to thought leadership and a networking zone where they can discuss and debate with peers and exhibitors. We will be available at our virtual exhibition stand throughout the conference, so be sure to come and visit us.

Below, we take a look at what this years event will look like, what there is to look forward to including sessions run by Zurich, and how you can find out more.

On Demand Sessions

During the event we will be hosting two on demand sessions, the first focusing on climate change and the second on ERM frameworks. More information about those sessions are below, and you can register to attend here.

With challenge comes opportunity: Build back better As we look forward from the pandemic, we have a chance at a clean, green and sustainable recovery that allows growth to return and gives businesses the chance to adapt. This session explores the interdependency of these risks and the importance of them in helping us to ‘build back better’.

ERM frameworks: Leading with insight to drive real value Using ERM frameworks as a tool for collaboration between Insurance and risk functions can help derive significant value for your business. This session will offer insights from AON’s global risk maturity survey and demonstrate practical solutions that can be adopted across multiple industries.

Knowledge Hub

As well as the main webinars, there will be a range of videos and presentations for attendees to watch in the Knowledge Hub. The hub will showcase a library of 30 minute bite-sized presentations based on thought leadership, life skills and technology.

Networking Zones

There are dedicated networking zones to make up for the lack of interaction that would normally take place at an event. This area will allow delegates to message each other and network with their peers, alongside a host of social events being provided by partners during the evenings. In place of physical stands, delegates will be able to access and visit our virtual exhibitor stand throughout the event.

Wellness Centre

As well as areas for learning and networking, there will also be a dedicated area for delegates to go and enhance their physical and mental wellbeing. Early morning yoga and lunchtime fitness challenges are available, as well as mindfulness areas and the opportunity to listen to talks about mental health and wellbeing.
